Underground army

The underground army covers an area of 19120 square meters, that is, as big as more than 50 basketball courts, which has over 8000 “soldiers and horses”. In the underground with a depth of 5 meters there is a wall every 3 meters, “the soldiers and horses” were neatly arranged in the hallway.

In fact, it’s the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, a category of ancient tomb sculptures made of terracotta soil, in the shape of chariots, horses and soldiers, and as big as life; this large underground army located in China’s Xi’an city, is a part of the mausoleum of Qin Emperor, known as “the eighth wonder of the world”.

According to historical record, the construction of this mausoleum began in 259 BC, after lasting for 58 years, had to stop because of a war, but this underground army ( a part of all burial pits), still unparalleled in the world.
